South Mecklenburg enters a new era under Head Football Coach Joe Evans. Starts the season against South-side rival Charlotte Catholic. How will South Mecklenburg fair in this game?

Joe Evans is one of my favorite coaches, and I think he will see success at almost every challenge he will face. I don't see South Meck defeating Charlotte Catholic but I do see South Meck playing hard. South Meck will be in rebuilding mode this year.

South Mecklenburg suffers from the numbers game. Joe is a huge motivator and big on weight-room work. You'll not find a more protective coach of his players either. His ability to motivate is huge; but the numbers game plays against him.
