2019 Tri-County 6 3A Conference pre-season predictions
1) Lee County, 5-0 conference, 11-0 overall
2T) Union Pines, 3-2, 8-3
2T) Southern Lee, 3-2, 6-5
2T) Triton, 3-2, 4-7
5) Western Harnett, 1-4, 3-8
6) Harnett Central, 0-5, 2-9
Lee County is the overwhelming favorite to win the Tri-County 6 3A conference football championship. Expect a three-way dogfight for second between Union Pines, Southern Lee, and Triton. Although Western Harnett and Harnett Central will be fighting to stay out of the conference cellar, don't sleep on either of these teams.
Lee County is among the best 3A programs in the state. I also think they could go undefeated although the Hoke County game could be interesting (or it could be a Lee County blow out).
After Lee County, take your pick. Union Pines, Southern Lee, and Triton are fair to middlin' teams that could surprise us all.
