Hibriten Crushes Draughn for 7th Straight Win

Tonight on I 40 EXIT 113 VALDESE the much improved Draughn Wildcats welcomed in the Hibriten Panthers. Hibriten controlled thier own destiny to the Northwestern Foothills 2A crown but Draughn with an upset win could force a tie between them, Hibriten and Bunker Hill.

As the game got started Draughn would go 3 and out. Hibriten would start out the drive with a holding penalty that would make it 1st and 25 at the 50. But Hibriten would slowly but surely march down the field on a long drive . On the way Hibriten’s Trey Piercy would convert a first down on 4th and 2 to setup Daren Perry’s 8 yard touchdown run (PAT good) Hibriten leads 7 to 0 with 5:25 left in the 1st quarter. After another Wildcats 3 and out momentum would swing fully into Hibriten’s way as the punt would go over the punters head which lead to a saftey with 3:46 left in the 1st quarter Hibriten leads 9 to 0. The mistake by Draughn would open up the floodgates for Hibriten the rest of the game. As the saftey kickoff would be returned for a touchdown by Marcus Jones (PAT good) Hibriten leads 16 to 0 with 3:46 left in the 1st quarter. Hibriten would strike again 73 seconds later after a Wildcats 3 and out. This time the 2 touchdown scorers would do it through the air. As Daren Perry would hit Marus Jones on a 75 yard touchdown pass (PAT no good) Hibriten leads 22 to 0 with 2:33 left in the 1st quarter. Hibriten would finish thier scoring as Daren Perry would get an interception and return it to the Draughn 3. Noah Ishbell would finish the drive off on a 3 yard touchdown run( PAT good) Hibriten leads 29 to 0 after the 1st quarter.

Not much action other than a fumble that lead to a missed field goal by Hibriten during the 1st half of the 2nd quarter. Hibriten would get another score at the 5:19 mark as Daren Perry would hit Elijah Suddreth on a 20 yard pass (2 pointer no good) Hibriten leads 35 to 0. Hibriten would get another score before half as Joseph Estes would return an interception for a 12 yard touchdown run(PAT good) Hibriten leads 42 to 0 at the half.
