VERY Interesting... thinking... what are we going to be looking at Saturday
I'm wondering the same thing. Of course, this week we have the annual Richmond/Scotland matchup. I think Richmond wins that and will solidify them as a top seed. Of course, there's the interesting season in the Central Piedmont. They'll have four, maybe five teams in the playoffs. West Forsyth and Glenn play for the conference championship. The interesting thing about the CPC, you have a couple of teams that could go 4A or 4AA. West will be 4AA. Do you know if Reagan will be 4AA? I've seen projections with them going 4AA. But, they're usually close. It'll be interesting to see if Richmond goes east or west. If they go west, we're going to have a monster of a region in the west. If they go east, the rest of the east will have their hands full. When the ADMs came out yesterday, I heard Butler could go 4A. But, looking at their numbers, I don't think they will. What are your thoughts Dale? Now going into Saturday, I've got my usual beef with the MaxPreps adjusted rankings. They currently have Myers Park at 9 after being 12. Hopefully, the NCHSAA will take a look at that before next season.
36 schools have a larger enrollment than Butler so it's certainly a possibility they could go 4A.
Reagan will go 4AA.

I looked at the numbers. My question is though, are those ahead of Butler numbers wise all playoff eligible? Some of those aren't. So that would push Butler higher than 37 wouldn't it?
A good portion are. For example -- Corinth Holders is right on the cusp of a playoff spot in 4A (per multiple projections) and they have about 40 less students than Butler.
Right now, I think it's around a 50/50 proposition on whether Butler goes 4A. Right now, I have Butler as the smallest 4AA team.
I think it was last year when Page was near the 4A/4AA cutoff...and the East/West cutoff. Now that's a double whammy for any amateur bracketologist!
