2019 Yadkin Valley 1A Conference pre-season predictions
1T) North Rowan, 5-1, conference, 8-3 overall
1T) North Stanly, 5-1, 8-3
1T South Stanly, 5-1, 8-3
4) Albemarle, 3-3, 3-8
5) Chatham Central, 2-4, 3-8
6) North Moore, 1-5, 3-8
7) South Davidson, 0-6, 0-11
Look for North Rowan, North Stanly, and South Stanly to battle for the top spot in the YVC. Expect Albemarle to be in the middle of the pack, followed by Chatham Central and North Moore. South Davidson continues to reside in the conference basement.
I have no idea why this needed approval, but fixed.
Always hard for me to look at a conference and see Albemarle not at the top.
RD, I think the YVC is down this year. North Stanly graduated much of their offensive production from the year before. South Stanly graduated a large senior class. North Rowan might not be as talented as they have been the past few years.
Albemarle, if they can keep players within the program, will be improved. The 2018 Bulldog defense did its job. The offense, however, had trouble moving the sticks downfield.
Chatham Central is the best of the rest. North Moore and South Davidson will struggle with fielding a competitive team.
