Dave Telep's Carolina Challenge brings in 80 of the top HS basketball players in the state of NC for one day of basketball.  A great experience for the kids; combining skills sessions with live games, this is one of the best basketball events of the year in NC.  The following are the players that were invited from the Charlotte area.

I am the Assistant Coach at Kennedy Charter and I emailed Dave Telep personally about Donte Clark earlier in the week. Dave informed me that they mistakenly had Donte as the class of 2012 still and rather than get the Carolina Challenge invite, he was invited to the Jordan Brand Classic regional game instead. Being in the class of 2013, he can't play in the Jordan Brand regional game until next year and Dave let me know that they had overbooked the Carolina Challenge by 7 or so kids. Donte's gonna have to sit tight and hope for some kids not to show to get an invite.

Coach... Thanks for the comments. It really is a shame! Donte is one of the most under-rated players across the nation in my opinion. I was very impressed with his game. JJ Douglas was also a Carolina Challenge snub... I believe he is better than several guys that got the invite.

Is your game against Mt Zion still a go for the later this month? I would like to attend that one.
