Recently we visited with the North Meck Vikings, a team that had a strong season last year, making it to the 2nd round of the 4AA Playoffs before a close loss on the road at Mallard Creek. Head Coach Eric Morman in his 2nd season has several strong players returning, led by QB Aaron Scott who holds an offer to Marshall right now and is a legitimate dual threat type of Quarterback.
Scott has a number of fellow seniors with him to lead the offensive attack, RB/SS Fabian Duncan will be the man to replace Emanuel Wilson in the backfield, big shoes to fill but he is very confident in his ability on both sides of the ball. WR Justin Olson has taken on a leadership role and is a very intelligent player that can be counted on in clutch situations.
Nothing can get done with the lines of scrimmage being on point, and North has two big standout linemen in OT Jordan Daniels and OL/DL Brandon Lewis. Both of these guys are legit Division 1 size and are very athletic on their feet.
Coach Morman is very excited about this team, stating that they are far ahead of where they were at this time last year, and that he has a few other players that are going to step up this season and make a name for themselves in a big way as well. The Vikings are a class act program all the way, and we expect Coach Morman and the Vikings to be a tough out once again this season for sure.
