Charlotte, Raleigh and Fayetteville areas are expecting highs around 98. Wilmington 94, New Bern 96, Greensboro 94, Winston-Salem 93; Hickory and Marion in the foothills 96. It will be a little cooler in the mountains with temperatures in the lower 90's: Asheville 92, Brevard 91, Black Mountain 91.

Practices will be early morning and late evening to beat the heat.
