84K what are your thoughts on this. Could this hurt the program some? Or will they be ok with another replacement?

This young man has immense potential.  Besides having great size, he was 5th in tackles last year...as a Sophomore.  He was listed a 6'5" tall weighing 250 lbs.  Who knows what his size will be the next two years.

I think this a big hit for Brown.  They will replace him but it might cause some depth issues.

Agree with Jim this will be a hit. But I would believe coach Newsome will have someone ready to step up and fill the that spot.

Having a coach like Newsome will make things easier. He’s one of the best.

I think this move will hurt him on the next level. To leave brown for u would have 2 agree is a downgrade in competition will I think push him behind when it comes 2 playing football in a big time NCAA football conference.

Providence Day has one excellent team (Charlotte Christian) and two fairly good teams on their schedule (Charlotte Latin, Christ School) on their schedule while Brown has about 5 good teams on their schedule (Jay M. Robinson, Marvin Ridge, Mooresville, West Rowan and Davie County).  Last year based on Simmons ratings, Providence Day's strength of schedule was 99 and AL Brown's schedule was 112.  Providence Day's SOS was probably elevated by playing Charlotte Christian twice.

Education wise I don't believe Kannapolis can compete with PDS, PDS is a great academic school, BUT if this is a football move then it doesn't make sense. If you're good at Kannapolis you can go anywhere, not like he needs to move schools to get more offers.
Surprised by this to say the least, think the talent level he is playing against is going to drop at PDS.
