Coach Belk agreed some of the kids looked like they hadnt even touched a bat before literally....we beat them 18-1....it is sad truthfully how bad they are but also amazing because they are still playing regardless because they love baseball it humbled me watching them but also made me realize why baseball is such a great sport...

Cherryville picked up a solo hr from Leah Sturgill. and left 2 on base in the bottom of the 7th. conference foes Bessemer City and Lake Norman Charter faced off for the right to face CC with BC coming out on top for a 6th straight victory. I planned to attend this game but could not get back from Garner, NC in time. Big win for Olympic. I was told Monday that Olympic had the bats but that Catholic was a good defensive team. Looks like the 4th was a big bat inning for Olympic. they move to 10-0.

This sets Olympic up for a huge game with West Mecklenburg this Friday night. If they beat West Mecklenburg they their first baseball conference championship in ten years. I think their record is now 15-3. Olympic has five players batting better than .400 with the area's leading hitter Krause at .550.

WOW what a turn around that had taken place with the baseball program. I see another local favorite Mooresville is also in the sweet 16 - 15th -. I know Mr. Patrick reads the site every once in a while, congrats! Your son is batting .421, and 18 RBIs! Oh yea, I guess Olympic is 14-3 with their 14-3 win over Ashbrook.
